MotoSoul and the Soul Food Eatery at Schloss Mutzschen, an American restaurant and event center, is looking for a new chef for the kitchen and event catering. Since 2017, Schloss Mutzschen has been satisfying the hunger of foodies, motorcyclists and music lovers from all over Germany. Located in a historic castle just outside Leipzig, Soul Food Eatery is the centerpiece of the multi-year project to bring motorcyclists from around the world to Saxony.

We are focused on providing local, unique, high quality, modern American cuisine in a fun and funky environment that will keep our customers coming back for more. The Soul Food Eatery is an open kitchen that allows the chef to interact with guests, watch the kids cook, and be an integral part of the service team. Our private events offer a unique flair with offerings such as live American BBQ, live music and overnight campsite accommodations.

Do you have a desire to combine your two passions – food and motorcycles?  Are you an experienced chef looking for a new challenge?  Then this project may be just the thing for you. We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and fully qualified chef to lead our kitchen and catering department.

Have you always wanted to run your own restaurant? The right candidate, who brings the energy and ideas to make this a top restaurant, will have the opportunity to become an owner and take advantage of the many other opportunities to grow our catering business. The right candidate can become part owner of the restaurant after 2 years of working with the team.

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

Highly motivated and able to work independently
Development of menus and special offers
Ability to manage 2 dining hours (lunch and dinner) as well as private events
Strong knowledge of restaurant operations and management, including staffing, inventory control, food/labor costs, and product quality
Minimum of 2 years culinary experience.

Attention to detail and culinary cost control are a must. We are looking for someone with creativity and passion to help us create innovative dishes and improve the overall experience for our guests.

We offer:

2-3 days off per week (Monday-Wednesday).
40-hour work week, except during event weeks
Closed during Christmas holidays
2.850€ gross per month
Test drive with the coolest motorcycles
Gasoline allowance up to 100€ per month if more than 20 km one way must be driven
